Conference THEME: "Aging In Indian Country: Embracing the Past and Facing the Future."

We are pleased to announce that we have selected the beautiful Grand Traverse Resort and the Traverse City, Michigan area as the site for the 2010 biennial National Indian Council on Aging, Inc. Conference to be held September 25-28, 2010.

The Traverse City area offers so much to see and do. Carved by ancient glaciers, the long deep lakes and bays and rolling hillsides present a beautiful natural setting. Take a stroll along miles of natural Lake Michigan shoreline, play a round of golf on a championship golf course, explore more than two dozen wineries, or amble through the shops in the historic downtown shopping district of Traverse City one of many quaint towns dotted throughout the area. Enjoy area restaurants, including the award winning restaurants at the Grand Traverse Resort, some cool jazz or cutting edge rock in the local bistros, or the excitement of casino gaming at either of two local casinos, Turtle Creek Casino or the Leelanau Sands Casino. You can also enjoy the area's rich history and culture that is displayed in several museums.
